Program Dates: July 22–25, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily
Location: Parr House, 302 Camino de la Placita, Taos, NM

Throughout the week, students will collaborate, create original music, explore recording and production techniques, and prepare for a community festival showcase! 

Program Schedule

Day 1 – Introduction & Inspiration

• Welcome, orientation, and introductions
• Team-building activities
• Field recordings and sound exploration
• Group formation and project planning

Day 2 – Songwriting & Production Foundations

• Songwriting activities and creative development
• Introduction to music production tools and techniques
• Production activities adapted for younger participants
• Beginning work on original compositions

Day 3 – Recording & Production

• Advanced production techniques for older students and continuing soundscapes for younger participants
• Recording sessions
• Editing, arranging, and finishing compositions

Day 4 – Rehearsal & Festival Showcase Preparation

• Final rehearsals and recording sessions 
• Project completion and sound checks
• Sharing work with family and community at our festival! 

Amplify Festival Showcase

Friday, July 25 | 4:00–6:00 PM

Family, friends, and community members are warmly invited to join us for the Amplify Festival Showcase, where students will share original songs, recordings, performances, and creative projects developed throughout the week! 

Program Cost

We are currently awaiting the results of several grant applications.

If grant funding is not awarded, participation will be offered on a sliding scale of $333–$555 per student for the full four-day program.

If funding is awarded, we will be able to offer scholarships and potentially free participation for all students. Our goal is to make Amplify accessible to every interested young musician, regardless of financial circumstances, and no student will be turned away due to inability to pay.

We will keep all registered families updated as funding decisions are finalized.

Daily things to bring to the program

• A packed lunch
• A water bottle
• Layers for changing weather conditions
• Any instruments your student would like to play (if they have them)

Healthy snacks will be provided each day.
