My journey here on Earth has been deeply intertwined with creativity, education, & the joy of nurturing young minds.
For as long as I can remember, I have immersed myself in early childhood everything and therapy through the arts.

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities (Health and Wellness) from the State University of New York at Oneonta, immersed in the Catskill Mountains. Continuing my education with a focus on whole food nutrition, I stay up to date on courses through The American College of Lifestyle Medicine and the Food Revolution Network, as well as having earned a Plant Based Nutrition Certification from eCornell University.

During my time as an undergrad, I was fortunate enough to have met an eccentric, creative [lifelong] friend who sparked in me a love for sewing! Inspired by her and other talented mentors [including my hardworking mom and her sisters], I learned to design clothing and share my passion through wearable art—feeling deeply fulfilled with a new sense of purpose!

Over the past 15 years, I have been dedicated to helping youth discover this feeling of fulfillment and have created countless hands-on art experiences for diverse audiences, ranging from private lessons, classrooms, intimate gatherings and large-scale events.

My teaching experience spans diverse settings: From professional costume tailoring in renowned East Coast theaters (weaving lessons into every design) to full-time teaching at a lakeside daycare just north of Denver, Colorado. I have brought therapeutic art programs to behavioral classrooms in public schools across the Denver Metro area—empowering neurodiverse youth through sensory-safe sewing, music, theater and nature crafts. I have worked as a lead teacher at a forest school and substitute in a variety of both Montessori and Waldorf schools.

These experiences led to the creation of [my first passion project] Rainbow Lightning —a 501c3 organization designed to empower self-expression through music, art, and nature. Rainbow Lightning builds safe, interactive art spaces for children [of all ages] at events. This pop-up offering has impacted thousands of youth and families [across the Americas] for over a decade through vibrant workshops that blend the BEST of all teaching styles – keeping it innovative, nature based and sensory centric!

I am always learning & growing with my mind and heart wide open to the lessons of the children – for they have truly paved this path of mine!

Most recently I have been the Director of Programming at an organization that creates opportunities for adults with special needs [www.commbasedservices.org] – building the offerings at [www.HudsonValleyInterArts.org] from the ground up. I still help with consulting and will forever be in full support of their lasting success!

TODAY, I am over-the-moon excited to begin the journey of InspireRoots in Taos, New Mexico [a place I call home] as the culmination of everything I have learned: a nurturing space where the gems of all modalities come together!

My goal at InspireRoots is to empower learners through self-directed, arts-centric experiences rooted in nature & community. Guided by the rhythms of the seasons and the wisdom of the land, creating space for children of all abilities to explore, express, and grow at their own pace!

As a mother of three boys, I’m driven to give them, and ALL children, the endless support my family gave me— celebrating their unique sparks. My vision for InspireRoots is to create a welcoming space where children gain the confidence to step out into the world around them knowing they can make a positive impact with every action! From sewing stitches to rooting dreams, I am committed to the success of this next generation – and thrilled to weave, create, and grow together! 🌿🎨✨
