Hi, I’m Ruth. I love nurturing creativity, balance, and meaningful relationships with one another and the natural world.
Before joining Inspire Roots, I taught music at Crestone Charter School and ecology programs across the San Luis Valley. I am a lifelong musician and participate in ecological restoration projects in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. These experiences help me bring music, environmental stewardship, and real-world learning into the classroom.
I hold a Foundation Degree in Fine Art and enjoy using natural materials such as clay, wood, and leaves to create fun and tactile lessons exploring texture, and form.
My music classes combine singing, games, instruments, rhythm, theory, ensemble work, and songwriting. I love connecting music with wider classroom themes, helping students learn to listen, collaborate, express themselves, and discover how everything is connected!
